Tourism WA Visitor Centre

Located within the heritage listed Perth Railway Station, the new Tourism WA Visitor Centre redefines first impressions of Western Australia. The space draws visitors into an immersive showcase of the state’s five key tourism regions - from rugged coastlines to ancient landscapes and vibrant urban centres.

The design blends an elevated aesthetic with a strong sense of place. Australian-made materials, warm textures, and soft curves create a refined yet approachable atmosphere. A sculptural stone map table anchors the space as an invitation to explore, while the triple bullnose reception counter champions craftsmanship and character.

Above, a limewashed ceiling becomes a canvas for a striking site-specific artwork by Indigenous artist J.D. Penangke (Jade Dolman), celebrating connection to Country and subtly echoing Tourism WA’s campaign palette.

Respect for heritage and a commitment to inclusivity shaped every decision. Original architectural elements were preserved and the layout emphasises intuitive navigation and accessibility for all visitors.

A vibrant, welcoming, and distinctly Western Australian space that welcomes every visitor to pause, explore and be inspired.
